Basement apartment: A basement unit with its own entrance, the upper units occupied by other tenants or the homeowner. Duplex: Building with two single-family dwellings and one owner. One or more units are rented. Row/Townhouse - end unit: One of a row of homes, sharing one side wall with another unit. Each unit is individually owned. Row/Townhouse - inside unit: One of a row of homes, sharing both side walls with other units. Each unit is individually owned. Triplex: Building with three single-family dwellings and one owner. The "Monitored" option is an integrated alarm system connected to a central agency who can inform the authorities when trouble arises. Choosing either option may result in a discount being applied to the estimate and consequently lower the premium.
